She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Portland State University and has experience supporting adults living with serious and persistent mental illness, as well as children and teenagers in crisis-intervention settings.

Ava’s counseling approach is grounded in humanistic and existential perspectives, with evidence-based techniques incorporated according to each client’s individual needs. She recognizes that every person brings unique experiences, values, and perspectives into the counseling process and believes those differences should be respected and understood.
